Congratulations to Antoinette Tabet, our global winner for Integrity for consistently applying her knowledge to identify irregularities in cargo declarations and provide details of the discrepancies to Australian Border Force.
Antoinette Tabet joined the Sydney cargo team in 2018 as an import flight clerk and was quickly promoted to cargo supervisor and then cargo coordinator in early 2023.
Antoinette was nominated for her keen eye for detail and strong knowledge of customs regulations specifically, the identification of misdeclared cargo reporting. She’s always quick to notice when something is not right and sets a great example for the team for her ability to spot false or misleading information and cargo irregularities. A true role model for our Cargo 5 “If you see something, say something.”
Antoinette shared her reaction, “Integrity is a value that is very important to me and I’m so proud to win this award. I always strive to do the right thing, so to be nominated by my colleagues for this award made it even more special.”
Kayla Moa, VP Cargo Operations Australia and GM Cargo NSW & ACT, added, “Antoinette has been an integral part of our cargo business for the last six years. Her actions, diligence, and passion for following the correct processes has had a positive impact on not only our team but also on our reputation with regulatory bodies.
“Our Sydney cargo operation has been recognised by Border Force on many occasions for actions taken on the reporting of suspicious items under the leadership and guidance of Antoinette. I’m so pleased that her ongoing efforts are being recognised on a global scale. Truly well deserved!”
