Say Hello to Billy Baldwin, Training Officer at Edinburgh Airport (EDI).
Having worked in a variety of roles during his 17 years at Menzies, Billy now draws on his immense experience training new employees on how to provide safe, efficient and effective ramp handling and baggage services.
Speaking about working at Menzies, Billy says: "It's an old cliché, but every day is different, which means that my job is never boring! As a trainer, it's a joy to witness the look on a trainee's face when they first successfully complete a task by themselves!"
A former soldier, Billy draws parallels between the structure of the Army and Menzies, which he asserts made for a smooth transition from one to the other. Billy says that the skills and values that he obtained as a soldier, such as discipline and punctuality, have been directly transferable to his various roles at Menzies.
