👋Say Hello to John Wachira, Operations Agent and GSE Trainer, at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO).
As Operations Agent and GSE Trainer at NBO, John is not only responsible for planning and coordinating ramp functions and managing aircraft activities to ensure a safe turnaround, but also the training and development of staff on Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Taking the opportunity to travel outside of his country for the first time, John visited Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in Tanzania for his own GSE training. Reflecting on the experience, he said: “It was a wonderful experience. I met wonderful people who were willing and ready to learn. It gives me great pleasure that today, I am still in touch with good friends in JRO and often exchange ideas on matters relating to the industry.”
