Say hello to Julie Renton, Insurance Claims Handler, based at our offices in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Julie is responsible for providing support and advice to the wider business on all things insurance, including policy placement and claims handling. For Julie, a typical day consists of dealing with insurance cover queries, liaising with our airport partners, and working with Menzies’ insurers and brokers.

Asked to name the achievement she’s proudest of, Julie singles out reaching 25 years of service earlier this year. “I only applied for a job at Menzies because I thought I might gain some useful interview experience, yet here I am 25 years later,” Julie reflects. “The wonderful people who work here are the overwhelming reason why I’ve been at Menzies for so long. I couldn’t ask for better colleagues!”

Taking the opportunity to help our operational teams at Ediburugh Airport (EDI) is another highlight Julie recollects. “It really opened my eyes to the incredible work carried out by our frontline teams at EDI day-after-day. Getting out of the office to experience the operational side of the business was enormously valuable. I’d urge my office-based colleagues to do it as regularly as possible.”
