👋 Say hello to Peninah Twikirize aka ‘Penny’, Training Manager based at Entebbe International Airport, Uganda.

Penny joined Menzies in 2015, driven by a childhood fascination with aviation.

“I wanted to contribute to an industry that brings people together across the world.”

In her current role, she loves empowering her colleagues through training. She said:

“Watching team members grow and succeed is incredibly rewarding. I also enjoy the collaborative environment at Menzies and work closely with various departments to ensure our training aligns with operational needs and company goals.”

One of her proudest moments is fully integrating competency-based training methodologies across our Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) programs.

“Fostering a culture of competency-based training, not only enhances skills but helps to contribute to raising industry standards, which fuels my commitment to continuous improvement.”

Her advice to others:

“The industry is full of opportunities – explore different roles, seek out mentors, embrace challenges, and be open to learning. Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself. Your contributions can make a big difference!”
