Recycling at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport ♻
25 January 2024
Over the holiday season, our cargo team at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) joined forces with the airport’s environmental team in an impressive effort to boost recycling at an exceptionally challenging time of year.
The volume of e-commerce cargo handled by our team at DFW increased by a staggering 100% in the first two weeks of December alone, leading to a huge spike in the amount of cardboard needing to be recycled.
Determined not to send recyclable material to landfill, our team at Dallas Fort Worth reached out to the airport’s Environmental Affairs Department, and the two teams worked together to ensure that the cardboard waste was kept out of local landfill sites.
Thank you to our team at DFW for going above and beyond in upholding our commitment to reducing waste, and congratulations to both teams for working together so effectively.
