Menzies has joined the UN Global Compact and the Science Based Targets initiative to help our business contribute to a fairer, greener, world.

As a signatory to the UN Global Compact, we have committed to aligning strategies and operations with ten universal principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals. We will report progress to the UN across these areas annually.

We launched our sustainability strategy earlier this year to ensure our business operates and grows responsibly and sustainably. The ambitions include building a diverse and balanced workforce and leadership team and adopting the highest ethical business and governance standards where we operate.

We’re also aiming to make 100% of our operations carbon neutral by 2033, the year of Menzies’ 200^th anniversary. To track progress on reducing our emissions, we will establish science-based targets and create transparent plans for achieving these as part of the Science Based Targets initiative and the Business Ambition for 1.5°C campaign.
