Big changes can start in the smallest places – just ask Rania Bara… 🌍♻️

In Gothenburg (GOT), Sweden, Lounge Manager Rania has shown how everyday actions can lead to big sustainability wins – earning her our Sustainability Values Award! 🏆

Rania joined Menzies in 2012 as a Check-In Agent and has since worked her way through several Front of House roles, becoming Duty Manager in 2015 and now Lounge Manager. Through every step, she’s shown adaptability, leadership, and a real commitment to doing things better.

Since stepping into her current role in 2023, Rania has:

✅ Introduced new sorting and recycling processes
✅ Rolled out smarter ways to cut waste
✅ Inspired her team to make more sustainable choices

“We’re just one small lounge at a small airport, so this is big for us. It shows that even small changes can have a powerful impact,” Rania said.

Station Manager Joeri van Bree was incredibly proud of Rania and the team, adding:
