👋 Say hello to Alberdina van Nes, Duty Manager at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS).
Alberdina leads a team of Front of House employees who are responsible for checking-in passengers, ensuring that they can safely and efficiently board their flights. “In short, it’s my job to make sure that the operation runs as smoothly as possible,” Alberdina explains. ✅
“There are of course times when the job is very challenging,” Alberdina says. “For example, a few Christmases ago heavy snow caused many flight cancellations. Despite the challenges, we managed to get people safely home for Christmas. Helping passengers, seeing their gratitude and our accomplishments is incredibly fulfilling.” 🎄
Alberdina counts the day that she celebrated her 25 year anniversary as her most memorable moment at the company. “My team surprised me with a beautiful bouquet, a cake, Certificate of Recognition, and much more. I truly felt spoiled that day,” she recalls. 💐 🍰
