Let’s smash The MORSE Challenge target

8 November 2021

MORSE Month 2021 got off to a fantastic start last week with more than 600 colleagues playing our new gamification platform, The MORSE Challenge – Unlock the Code.

Our Chief Operating Officer Mervyn Walker was the first to play with respectable times for both quizzes – 39 seconds for safety and 35 seconds for security.

Everyone who beats Mervyn’s time will go into the draw to win a special prize worth £500. This is on top of the £50 prizes for the people at the top of the leader board in each of the regions at the end of November

We want more people to get involved and race against the clock so in the name of heathy competition, we have set a target of 2,000 people playing The Morse Challenge by the end of this month. We're currently at 33% of our target so encourage your colleagues to register and have a go.

We are also tracking how many people are playing in each of the regions with the aim of 10% of the region's workforce taking part by the end of November. MEAA are leading with 71%, followed by Europe (61%) then OSEA (32%) and the Americas (4%).

MORSE Month Week Two - Responsibly

Week Two starts today with a focus on the ‘R’ in MORSE, which is Responsibly. Take part in our popular Hazard Hunt either on your own or in teams.

Everyone across the network can get involved by looking for hazards in your working environments (above or below the wing, cargo warehouses or fuel facilities … everywhere) and reporting them.

You can play on your own or in a group. Where groups of employees are working together under the leadership of a supervisor or similar, that person can take the lead on helping to encourage, collect and report hazards from employees.

Simply record the hazards you see and enter them into the MORSE system via the desktop platform or the Swift Reporting App. Find out everything you need to know on the WeAreMenzies MORSE Month 2021 page.
