Nominations for the 2025 We Are Menzies Awards are in full swing and today we are highlighting our sustainability value, the most recent category to join the awards.

But what do we mean when we say sustainability? For most of us, our minds likely go to environmental efforts. And while being environmentally responsible is a big part of our sustainability value, there's a lot more involved.

Let's take a look at how Katy Reid, Head of Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility describes our sustainability value.

With this in mind, some examples of nominations for sustainability could be:

• Organising an event, e.g. a run or bake sale to raise money for a charity
• Engaging with a local youth organisation to help young people enter the workforce
• Arranging a food drive for those displaced by a natural disaster
• Spearheading a clean out of old IT equipment so it can be recycled responsibly
• Switching to more eco-friendly plastic alternatives
