With 6,108 nominations, the 2025 awards reached new heights! Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit a nomination.

Looking set to be the most exciting on record, the number of nominations increased by 75% from last year as more of you looked to recognise colleagues who live our values every day.

Top three stations for nominations:

2. Baghdad (BGW), Iraq
3. Abidjan (ABJ), Côte d'Ivoire.

• Lisbon (LIS), Portugal (Europe)

• Sydney (SYD), Australia (OSEA)
• Johannesburg (JNB), AMI

What happens next? 

Our regional judging panels are working hard to choose their regional shortlists, and we will be sharing them in March. Those shortlisted will then be considered for the global awards, which will be announced in late April.

As a reminder, there are five individual awards that are based on peer nomination and aligned with our values: safety & security, teamwork, integrity, agility, customer focus and sustainability. From these categories, an overall Employee of the Year will be selected.
