Top tip #1

Graham Cowing shares our first safety & security top tipGraham Cowing, Vice President Group Safety Standards shared our first safety and security top tip!

Always have your high visibility vest or jacket fully zipped up. 🦺

Aside from looking more professional, this will make you more visible and prevent it from becoming a loose article of clothing that can be caught or entangled in equipment.

Remember to always adhere to PPE and uniform policy – it will help keep you safe at work. ✅

Top tip #2

Wilma Kruger shares our second safety & security top tip

Wilma Kruger, Vice President Security and Emergency Response provided our next safety and security top tip. 🦺

The ‘R’ in MORSE is for Responsibly which means be responsible by intervening and reporting when something is wrong.

If you see something, say something.

For example, if you see someone misusing their pass or trying to access restricted areas, report it to your line manager and airport authorities immediately. 🪪

Each of us have a role in creating a safe and secure environment, so let’s work together to follow the MORSE Code and make Menzies as safe and secure as we possibly can be. 🤝

Top tip #3

Alan shares the final safety & security top tip

Alan Glen, Senior Vice President Group Risk shared our third and final safety and security top tip. 🦺

👉 We are what we accept

This means that the standards we set and the behaviours we tolerate define our safety culture.

Here’s why this matters

  • Setting standards: by accepting only the highest safety standards, we ensure a safer workplace for everyone. ✅
  • Leading by example: each of us has a role in modelling safe behaviours and holding ourselves and others accountable. 🤝

Together, we set the standard for safety.
