This month, the Menzies Orlando (MCO) team participated in United Airlines' Rise Against Hunger project.

Alongside colleagues from Alaska Airlines, their mission was to pack 15,000 meals to support the global fight against hunger.

By midday, the incredible team effort meant that they quickly surpassed this target. As a result, it was decided that they would instead aim for a staggering 30,000 meals.

The resulting meals would be distributed by Rise Against Hunger to locations around the world, including Haiti, the Philippines and South Africa.

Reflecting on the event, Mauricio Sampedro, Senior Operations Manager at MCO, said:

“Together with United Airlines, the Menzies and Alaska Pax Team, along with our Ramp Team, participated in the Rise Against Hunger initiative. Our initial goal was to pack 15,000 meals destined for Haiti, South Africa, and the Philippines. I’m extremely proud of the team and their participation in this crucial event to help end global hunger.”
