It’s been two weeks’ since we launched our new gamification platform, The MORSE Challenge – Unlock the Code, with people from across our network playing against the clock and climbing up the leader boards.

We’re aiming for 2,000 people to have a go at the quizzes before the end of MORSE Month 2021 and we are currently at 40% of this target. If you haven’t played yet go to the morsechallenge.com and see if you can beat the top scores.

In the name of healthy competition, we are also tracking how many people are playing in each of the regions with the aim of 10% of the region's workforce taking part by the end of November. Europe has knocked MEAA off the top spot with 80%, followed by MEAA at 76%, then OSEA (71%) and the Americas (5%). Who will get to 100% first?

The MORSE Challenge prizes

Our Chief Operating Officer Mervyn Walker was the first to play with respectable times for both quizzes – 39 seconds for safety and 35 seconds for security.

Everyone who beats Mervyn’s time will go into the draw to win a special prize worth £500. This is on top of the £50 prizes for the people at the top of the leader board in each of the regions at the end of November.

Following last week’s hazard hunt, we’re searching for our MORSE STARS during Week 3. We’re looking for colleagues who perform tasks and procedures above and beyond expectation. Use the SMART app to record any ‘Excellent’ observations to identify our MORSE STARS.
