This week we’ve welcomed the first employees to our new operations in Islamabad and Peshawar under our joint venture with RAS in Pakistan.

Since we announced our acquisition of a managing share of RAS in December 2020, a huge team of representatives from Menzies and from RAS have been working together to prepare for the first start-ups. Everything is now in place…from the MORSE safety reporting processes and systems to the Menzies training programmes.

The new operation will be offering a range of aviation services (initially ground handling, cargo, ticketing and sales) to customers including Qatar, Gulf Air, Oman Air and Serene Air. And as soon as final approval has been granted by the Pakistani authorities, our new employees will be proudly putting on their new Menzies RAS uniforms!

By July we expect six further stations throughout Pakistan to be fully operating under the joint venture. The joint venture is an important strategic milestone for Menzies, as we look for growth opportunities in our Middle East, Africa and Asia (MEAA) region.
