How did you get into jet skiing?
For nearly 25 years on and off i have been enjoying the sport of personal watercraft or Jetski’s as most will know them. I got into this sport at a young age.
What do you enjoy most about it?
I love the sport, not only for the enjoyment but also to race and cruise, have family fun and most of all keep fit!
How does jet skiing benefit your wellbeing?
Some question when I say it is good for keeping fit as it I motorised….. Well let me tell you .... When your pounding the waves of the big wide ocean with speeds of up to 55 Mph you don’t have suspension or shock absorbers when you take off 2 meters into the air. Your body absorbs everything and therefore you are using every muscle in your body to ensure you have a firm handle of the ski. There have been occasions over the following days where i have struggled to walk or bend as my body deals with the sheer exhilaration and enjoyment. I quickly learnt to do my stretches prior to riding out!! When a ski has 170 HP you can also pull any type of inflatables and water skis just adding to that overall experience.
Why do you recommend jet skiing?
To have a sport that combines fun and fitness as well as those great occasions of the dolphins joining you, doesn’t get better than that. Next time your at the beach, look out for the Jetski hire and why not give it a go, you may end up hooked like I was and end up owning your own.
