Philipp Joeinig, Group CEO provides new Pakistan facilities update
28 January 2025
I had the privilege of meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif last week to discuss how we can continue our role in supporting economic growth in the country.
We have strong conviction in the country’s potential, and it was an honour to have the Prime Minister open our new IT infrastructure and facilitation desk facilities in Islamabad, our first global support offices in Pakistan, which will serve as an extension of our dedicated IT team in Edinburgh, Scotland.
This new opening further deepens our roots in Pakistan where we provide aviation services across eight airports including Islamabad International Airport and Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. We formed Menzies-RAS following a joint venture with Royal Airport Services (R) in 2020, and together we have been implementing Menzies’ global standards, which have helped our business go from strength to strength in Pakistan.
I would like to thank Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Minister of State for IT Shaza Khawaja for their participation and continued support. And thank you to our team of more than 2,800 people in Pakistan for their dedication.
