Love, logistics and a little flower power

14 February 2025

As many around the world celebrate Valentine's Day, our Kenya teams have been working hard during what is one of the busiest times of the year.

What makes it so busy?

Each year, they help get millions of roses from Rift Valley farms to destinations across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The delicate flowers must be carefully handled, during what Nouamane Zahouani, Vice President Central and East Africa describes as “a complex process that keeps the entire supply chain moving like clockwork.”

“While people exchange roses today, we also recognise the hard work and commitments of our teams on the ground led by Mohamed Tambi Daoud General Manager – Kenya” Nouamane said.

Thank you to our Kenya teams for your continued hard work during this peak time.

“So, when you hand over that bouquet today, just remember - it took a whole lot of love, logistics, and a little flower power to make it happen!”

- Nouamane Zahouani, Vice President Central and East Africa
