Menzies acquires 50% stake in Jardine Aviation Services Group 

Menzies has announced the acquisition of a 50% stake in Jardine Aviation Services Group as part of a joint venture (JV) with China National Aviation Corporation (“CNAC”). Upon completion, Jardine Airport Services Limited will be rebranded as Menzies CNAC Aviation Services Limited.

The new JV with CNAC strengthens an existing partnership between Menzies and CNAC at Macau International Airport (MFM), where it has been the ground handler of choice since 1994. It also has operations at three airports in Indonesia and, more recently, entered Malaysia.

Flynas partnership expands to MEAA

Teams at Baghdad International Airport (BGW) are set to provide passenger and ramp services to low-cost airline, Flynas, as part of a new, 30-month agreement.

While Menzies and Flynas already work together in Europe, this is the first time the partnership has expanded to the MEAA region. Teams will manage two turns a week under the new contract.

FedEx renews contract at GOT and CPH

Leading courier company, FedEx, has renewed its freighter handling contract with Menzies at Göteborg Landvetter Airport (GOT) and Copenhagen Airport (CPH) for a further three years.

Building on a well-established partnership, the renewed contract will see Menzies staff handle over 10 turns per week across the two stations.

Menzies and SGA Angola agree joint venture

Menzies and Sociedade Gestora de Aeroportos (SGA-SA) have come together to form a new joint venture (JV), Menzies Angola. The new partnership will span cargo and lounge services at Luanda International Airport (LAD), Angola.

Local teams are anticipated to handle more than 30,000 tonnes of cargo each year, serving a broad range of customers including Taag-Angola Airlines, Air France, TAP Air Portugal and Ethiopian Airlines. It will also manage the VIP lounge at LAD, which serves more than 45,000 passengers each year.
