Solar panels at Prague Airport
23 February 2024
We have successfully installed hundreds of solar panels at our cargo facility at Prague Airport (PRG), saving almost 140 tonnes of Co2 each year.
Almost 900 panels have been installed at the 14,000 sqm cargo warehouse, a neighbouring administrative building and on the building’s façade. The panels are set to produce more than 350 megawatt hours (MWh) annually and reduce emissions across our Prague operations by 25%.
Further driving sustainable operations, electricity being generated by the solar panels is being used to power operations at the warehouse and charge our fleet of electric ground support equipment (GSE). This aligns with our 'All In' sustainability plan, which includes science-based targets to reach net-zero across scope 1, 2 and 3 by 2045.
