James Majiba recognised for commitment to safety at N'djili International Airport

27 February 2024

Congratulations to James Majiba, who played a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of our operations at N'djili International Airport (FIH) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In January, during a critical situation involving aircraft parking, James exhibited remarkable quick thinking, initiative, and a strong commitment to safety.

Due to the vigilance and quick response of James on duty for night surveillance, catastrophe was averted. His timely intervention prevented what could have been a hazardous situation, ensuring the safety of both aircraft and everyone involved.

Charles Wyley, EVP MEAA said, "In the face of unexpected challenges, it is individuals like James who embody our commitment to safety and excellence. Their actions not only reflect their dedication but also uphold the highest standards of professionalism in our team.

"Please join me in extending our heartfelt appreciation to James as he receives a Go Make A Difference (GOMAD) award for his outstanding performance and unwavering commitment to safety. It is through such acts of vigilance and responsibility that we continue to uphold our reputation as a reliable and safety-conscious team.

“Let us all take inspiration from this incident and reaffirm our collective commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence in all our endeavours."
