Coming soon: Travel to Work survey
28 August 2024
Look out for the opportunity to participate in our Travel to Work survey. Here, you will be able to share details of how you commute to work with our Sustainability team.
Everyone has their own unique way of getting to work - whether that be walking, taking the car, catching a train or hopping on the nearest bus. However, our commuting habits shape more than just our daily routines; they also impact our planet.
As a business, we are working towards a more sustainable future by evolving the way we operate. But success will not be solely achieved by electrifying our GSE fleet or using less paper at our stations. It will be delivered by transforming our business, analysing all current practices, operations, and our business culture to better understand how we can drive positive change and positively impact the environment.
As part of that process, we need your help to better understand the daily routines and commuting habits of our people working across the globe. The information you choose to share will help support our Scope 3 emissions calculations, allowing us to take better-informed decisions towards reducing our carbon footprint.
Unlike Scope 1 and 2 emissions, which cover greenhouse gasses emitted from vehicles and equipment owned by Menzies and our business’ energy usage, Scope 3 covers indirect emissions from sources such as purchased goods, waste disposal and employee commuting. Together, they provide a holistic insight into the greenhouse gas emissions connected to our business.
Stay tuned for the launch of our Travel to Work survey over the coming weeks and look out for more ways to get involved in this year’s campaign.
