Budapest Airport held its 11^th Runway Run on 2 September. It’s the only day of the year where the runway belongs to runners, rather than aircraft and Menzies was proud to be one of the event sponsors.

Menzies was well represented in the field of more than 1,000 runners with 20 of our team taking part, and Mr. András Dékány (pictured above right) finishing in the top 50 of the 5km run.

All proceeds from the entry fees are being donated to the SUHANJ! Foundation, which supports sporting opportunities for disabled people. The Ments Életet (Save Lives) foundation is also supported. Over the past ten years more than 10,000 runners have taken part, raising nearly 80 million HUF from entry fees for the supported charities.
