The new three-year contract will see the Menzies Agunsa team handle 730 turns each year for American Airlines. This win demonstrates the strength of our relationship with American Airlines, which began in 1999 and includes operations at more than 40 airports across our network including the USA, Mexico, Colombia, the Caribbean, Europe and several other locations.
This contract award is an important step in the growth of our ground services business at Chile's largest international airport, as well as another step in the ongoing development of our partnership with American Airlines in Chile and the wider Latin American region.
Freighter Ramp services secured for WestJet
Our team in the Americas has won new business to deliver freighter ramp services for WestJet at Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport (GDL) in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico's third-largest city. The new contract expands operations with the Canadian airline to 12 locations in Mexico.
The 36-month contract will see local teams managing three turns per week in what is the airline’s first freighter operation outside Canada and the United States, positioning Menzies as a critical player in freighter handling operations.
Citilink resume flights to Perth
Citilink Indonesia is the latest carrier to appoint Menzies to manage its passenger, ramp and cargo operations at Perth Airport (PER).
Building on existing contracts in Indonesia at Husein Sastranegara International Airport (BDO) and Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto International Airport (AAP), the contract was originally secured in 2020, but placed on hold due to the pandemic.
Announcements of new or resumed routes mark a return to business for the airline and a new chapter in our relationship with the low-cost carrier.
