Latin America expansion continues

We have entered Panama, our 7th country in Latin America, through the strategic acquisition of Aircraft Services and Consulting S.A.. Panama is a pivotal commercial gateway within the Americas region, strategically connecting the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. We will be based at Tocumen International Airport (PTY) and Scarlett Martinez International Airport (RIH), with additional operating licenses secured for David Airport (DAV) and Panama Pacifico Airport (BLB).

Auckland welcomes China Airlines

We have won a new contract to provide passenger, ramp and cargo handling services for China Airlines in Auckland (AKL), New Zealand, operating five A350-900 aircraft per week. This award complements our existing agreement with China Airlines for passenger and ramp services in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and further strengthens our partnership in the OSEA region.

The start-up period was extremely short, 30 days, and came off the back of the AKL team enduring cyclones, floods and even an earthquake, which all impacted our customers and the Menzies operation. Despite these challenges, the team took on the opportunity with their usual resilience and professionalism and they look forward to a long and successful partnership with China Airlines.

IATA Ground Handling Conference speakers

We had a strong contingent representing Menzies at the 35^th IATA Ground Handling Conference (IGHC) in Abu Dhabi last week. Lukasz Skorupa, EVP Commercial, took part in a panel on revolutionising airport operations and automating below the wing, which you can read about here. Rami Al-Haddad, Chief Information Officer, discussed the opportunities and challenges of embracing technology on the ramp with fellow industry leaders.

Indonesia Air Asia renewal

We have extended our partnership with Indonesia Air Asia for three years at Husein Sastranegara International Airport (BDO) in Bandung, where we have provided warehouse services for the low-cost carrier since 2015. Indonesia Air Asia, which is a subsidiary of Air Asia, operates about 10 flights per week to BDO. We partner with Air Asia and its subsidiaries in Macau International Airport, as well as providing cargo services in various locations across Australia.

Scandinavia secures Air France KLM

Menzies Scandinavia renewed an important contract to extend our long-standing partnership in Sweden with Air France and KLM for three more years. Our teams in Arlanda (ARN) and Gothenburg (GOT) are delighted to continue working with the airline and provide passenger, ramp, de-icing and lounge services.

UPS extension in Jakarta

After over five years of working with UPS at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Indonesia, we are pleased to extend our partnership to provide air cargo warehouse services for a further five years. The carrier is currently operating one freighter to CGK daily.
