Expanding our footprint in Europe with our 50^th airport

Our cargo team has successfully expanded our presence in the Balkans, thanks to a joint venture with Cargo Handling Services Limited (CHS) at Sofia International Airport (SOF) in Bulgaria. The move increases our footprint in Europe to 50 airports in 17 countries.

CHS provides a range of cargo services at SOF including warehousing, import and export handling, mail handling and temperature-controlled storage. It will transition to the Menzies brand and our best-in-class standards and systems. Read more about the joint venture here.

Cargo win for Americas with Pacific Air Cargo

Our Los Angeles International (LAX) cargo team has successfully secured a contract with Pacific Air Cargo (PAC), the first time the premier air cargo operator, has switched its LAX supplier in more than 25 years. A significant win for the Americas, the contract will see our cargo teams manage six scheduled Boeing 747F flights between LAX and Honolulu (HNL) along with selected charter flights. The contract expands our services with PAC, with services for charter flights in Guam already underway.

Sri Lankan Airlines renews contract

After the first year of service at Sydney International Airport (SYD), Sri Lankan Airport has renewed our contract to deliver passenger, ramp, cabin cleaning and cargo services for its daily flights. We were initially appointed 12 months ago for a one-year contract, but after a successful request for proposal (RFP) process, we were announced as the chosen partner securing a contract for the next three years.

Ramp services secured for Jetstar Airways

Our Australian team won new business to deliver ramp services at Melbourne Airport (MEL) for Jetstar Airways. The relationship, which began in November 2020 as part of the Qantas Group move to outsource ground services, was upgraded to a three-year contract.

Jazeera Airways expands in Pakistan

We’ve taken another step in our expanding partnership with Jazeera Airways, introducing passenger, ramp, and cargo services to Islamabad International Airport (ISB) for the carrier. Management of the inaugural flight from Kuwait to ISB, in the capital city of Pakistan, follows news that the airline had selected Menzies-RAS to deliver passenger, ramp and cargo services at Jinnah International Airport (KHI) and Allama Iqbal International Airport (LHE) in Pakistan.

It marks a new chapter in the relationship with Jazeera Airways and extends our services for the low-cost Kuwait airline to seven airports in five countries following earlier contracts secured at Tivat International Airport (TIV), Montenegro and Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) in Serbia.
