At Menzies, we value promoting team members internally, and many of our leaders started in frontline positions. Eddy Edson, Assistant General Manager in Bermuda, pictured, is a great example of this in action.

In 2002, Eddy was looking for new opportunities when the coal mine he worked at shut down and answered a Menzies ad in the newspaper. He thought he would give aviation a try for six months… 20 years later, Eddy has a thriving career in aviation and has recently made the move from the United Kingdom to Bermuda.

Eddy’s first role was as a baggage handler and in his first year he was promoted to Assistant Duty Manager and joined the management team at London Luton and by 2010, Eddy had been promoted to Station Manager. In 2015, Eddy became the go-to guy to go into stations and help them improve their performance before returning to the Station Manager at London Luton in 2018. Most recently, Eddy successfully applied for the Assistant General Manager Bermuda role and made the move from the UK to Bermuda in 2022.
