A double win for the Americas with LATAM Airlines
Our team in the Americas has been successfully working with LATAM Airlines since 2012 and has now expanded services to Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport (CLO) and José María Córdova International Airport (MDE) in Colombia.
The contract will see teams deliver Ground Power Unit (GPU) service for line maintenance on Remain Over Night (RON) flights at both airports. Five GPUs will be required at MDE, with a further two at CLO daily, with an anticipated 49 turns per week. LATAM Airlines is one of our biggest customers in Colombia, with services at four airports (BOG, MDE, CLO and BAQ) serving a total of 56,000 flights per year.
This next step allows us to continue expanding our commercial relationship through new services and locations.
Expanding Air Vanuatu services in Melbourne
12 months after we started working with Air Vanuatu at Melbourne Airport (MEL) and Brisbane Airport (BNE), we are now rolling out passenger, ramp, and cabin cleaning services for the airline at Sydney International Airport (SYD).
The three-year contract will see local Menzies’ teams managing up to five services per week, before moving to daily services.
Following ongoing conversations with Air Vanuatu, this new contract marks a significant step forward, creating all-new opportunities to expand services with the state-owned national airline.

Haikou-based Hainan Airlines (HU) - the fourth largest airline in the People's Republic of China – has agreed a three-year early extension, securing the continuation of passenger, ramp, cleaning and deicing services at London Heathrow (LHR) from 2024 to 2027.
The airline will also use Menzies’ services in Belgrade where the team will provide supervision and ancillary revenue collection.
Tianjin Airlines, a fellow member enterprise of HNA Aviation Group, has also opted for a three-year early extension, taking services to May 2027.
