As part of the values announcements earlier this month, we shared that we would soon be announcing our first global awards programme.

The We Are Menzies Awards are launching to celebrate great performance and the people who are living the Menzies Values.

There will be 11 awards overall – five will be awarded based on performance metrics, five will be awarded based on nominations and aligned to our values and and employee of the year.

Performance awards
The five performance awards will be awarded based on 2021 performance and each winning location will receive $2,000 to spend on a celebration for the team.  The award categories are as follows

• Cargo Terminal of the Year
• GH Station of the Year
• AMI Branch of the Year
• Fuel Farm of the Year
• ITP Operation of the Year

Values awards
The five values awards will each be aligned to one of our values. You will be able to nominate, say thank you to each other and celebrate those who demonstrate our values:

• Safety & Security
• Teamwork
• Integrity
• Agility
• Customer Focus

Nominations will open on Monday 31 January and you’ll have four weeks to submit your nominations.

Nominations will be judged and shortlisted regionally first and the winners of each region will be put forward for the global awards. The shortlisted individuals will receive a small prize, overall winners will receive $750 and anyone who submits a nomination will be entered into a raffle to win a gift card.
