Menzies to the rescue

Craig Midson, GM Ground Handling NSW & ACT in Australia recently came to the rescue of a passenger whose luggage had gone missing.
Gillian Tatt got in touch with Craig after two bags belonging to her and her daughter went missing when they flew from Edinburgh to Sydney as she thought the flights were handled by Menzies.
Craig explained that Menzies wasn’t responsible for her baggage but offered to help and went to another handler’s office at Sydney airport, which set off a chain of events leading to Gillian’s bag being found and delivered to her.
Gillian, got in touch to thank Craig for his help, saying: “I’m writing to let you know how incredibly helpful Craig Midson was to me recently. This was clearly not something he was obliged to do at all, but he did it anyway. I’ve thanked Craig profusely both over the phone and by email, and he simply said, ‘it’s no problem, we’re all a community’. This is such an exemplary attitude, and I can’t tell you the relief I felt at finally finding someone who walks the talk. Since then, I’ve been singing the praises of Craig and Menzies Aviation to anyone who’ll listen.”
Mark Brinkworth, Regional Vice President SE Australia Ground Handling, added, “Gillian’s story sums up Craig. We are extremely lucky to have him as a leader in our business, especially in light of so many competing priorities at present.”
