Integration gets started in Cote D’Ivoire

19 August 2022

Following the announcement that Menzies and NAS have joined forces, we held a three-day risk management integration workshop in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire.

It was facilitated by Yogesh Parekh, SVP Operational Risk; Graham Cowing, VP Group Safety Standards; Elena Flynn, VP Training & Quality; and Mark Humphreys, VP Operational Risk MEAA.

Joined by 40 NAS Quality, Safety, Health, Environment and Security colleagues, the group took part in sessions on Menzies’ values & culture, risk management, reporting and integration next steps.

Mervyn Walker, Chief Operating Officer, who also attended the workshop, said, “Safety & security are our number one priority and Yogesh, Elena, Mark and Graham did a great job delivering the workshop with our new colleagues from NAS. I’m really looking forward to bringing together the best of both worlds as we integrate NAS into Menzies in the months ahead.”

Yogesh Parekh added, “We were delighted to come together and meet the new and familiar faces who will be instrumental in promoting a positive safety/security culture in the new Menzies.”

Elena Flynn shared her thoughts on the workshop, “It was an honour to be involved in such a fabulous journey with our new colleagues joining the Menzies family. We’re driving culture through clear values and behaviours and encouraging our people to follow rules because we want to, not because we have to.”
