Manchester on board for new transatlantic services

30 March 2021

A hand-picked team of ten Menzies employees from Manchester took part in a CAA proving flight for Aer Lingus recently, flying out over the Atlantic and back.

The proving flight allowed Aer Lingus to secure an air operator certificate in preparation for the new daily transatlantic services between Manchester and JFK, Orlando and Barbados which start in July.

Menzies will be handling the new flights as part of an expanded service to Aer Lingus – the first time the team has handled widebody aircraft in several years. A service to Boston is also planned for 2022.
