Isidoros Constantinou was awarded a recognition certificate for his quick-thinking actions that prevented an accident on the ramp in Cyrprus.

As an ambulift was approaching an aircraft, he signalled to the driver to stop. Instead of pressing the brake, the driver pressed the accelerator.

Isidoros situational awareness enabled him to react immediately and he pressed the emergency button on the ambulift, which came to a stop before coming into contact with the aircraft.

The pilot, who was at the scene, also checked that no contact was made and the flight departed Larnaka International Airport as scheduled.
