Menzies teams across South Africa celebrated Heritage Day on 24 September by dancing to the song Jerusalema! The request to take to the dancefloor came from the President, Cyril Ramaphosa, as he sought to lift the nation’s spirits by asking everyone to “show the world what we are made of.”

The dance craze took off earlier this year as lockdowns began in South Africa. Since then, thousands of people have filmed themselves dancing to the tune Jurasalema, as produced by local DJ, Master KG.
