Menzies: keeping Canada going during coronavirus
3 June 2020
Menzies teams in Canada have been hard at work supporting the coronavirus response, handling flights bringing medical supplies and farm workers to help keep Canada going during the crisis.
The ground handling team at Toronto welcomed 189 agricultural workers arriving from St Vincent in the Caribbean, destined for jobs in the Canadian food and farming sector.
And in Winnipeg, a flight fully loaded with masks and other medical supplies arrived from China, via Madrid. The team handled the cargo safely and skillfully, earning an appreciative email from a representative of Emergency Parts Logistics Inc (the customer) who noted that the operation was one of the highlights of her 19 year public service career!
Nathaniel Glover, VP Ground Handling & Cargo, thanked the teams himself, saying; “We are grateful to be able to help our communities in need during this pandemic. Once again, our teams have proved their professionalism and dedication – thank you and keep up the good work!”
