Good news from New Zealand

16 July 2020

With the coronavirus crisis under control in New Zealand, life there has been returning to normal. And aside from the border being closed to most travellers and strict controls on entry to the country, many aspects of aviation are on the way up once more.

The Menzies team in Auckland has won a contract with new customer Fieldair, providing ramp and cargo handling services. Fieldair are operating several flights per week between Auckland and Australia.

Repatriation flights continue as well, with Air India still flying passengers safely back to New Dehli from Auckland earlier last month – with possible plans for additional repatriation flights this summer.

And in late June, the team at Auckland provided full ground and cargo handling for a special flight transporting 100 live goats to China. The loading process was completed well ahead of schedule, and the team’s hard work earned them exceptional feedback from the customer whose representative said; “the plan devised for the day was a master stroke and couldn’t have worked out better. Well done and many thanks to your team for their can-do spirit and positive attitude.”
