We’ve just launched a new design of hi-viz vest to help keep employees safe and to raise safety awareness. The new design features the MORSE logo and during COVID supervisors can choose to add a “Stay Safe” social distancing message to their hi-viz vests as well.

These new items are available now to order from our preferred supplier. Please talk to your manager or supervisor if your hi-viz clothing needs to be replaced.

How PPE supports the MORSE code
At Menzies, we’re focused on safety and our PPE (personal and protective equipment) is just one of the tools we use to reduce the risk of accidents and keep our people safe from harm. It’s the last line of defence in our control system and is designed to minimise the residual risk once all other options have been applied.

We followed our hierarchy of controls in managing down the risk of coronavirus at Menzies locations. We couldn’t eliminate the risk completely, but we reduced it by observing social distancing, adapting our working practices and improving workplace hygiene. As a last line of defence, we introduced PPE where appropriate to reduce contact and contamination.

Wearing additional PPE during the pandemic not only slows the rate of infection, it has also kept us in line with government and health organisation guidance and reassured customers that we’re taking steps to protect them.
