Your role in protecting Menzies - International Anti-Corruption Day
9 December 2020
Today marks international anti-corruption day and we’ve taken the opportunity to remind you of the role you can play in protecting Menzies from corrupt or unethical behaviour which could put our business at risk.
Coronavirus has increased the risk of corrupt behaviours in the public, private and government sectors as standards of oversight have reduced in order to speed up the response to the pandemic. This creates opportunities for unethical practices to go unchecked and for corrupt individuals to profit from the pandemic. At Menzies, we will not tolerate bribery or corruption within our own business or within our many partner, supplier and customer organisations. It is essential that we all behave ethically and legally – violation of international anti-bribery and anti-corruption law can result in significant penalties for companies and individuals, as well as causing reputational damage and disrupting business.
What you need to do
- Check and complete mandatory compliance training assigned to you in the learning management system. This will include anti-bribery and anti-corruption and conflicts of interest modules.
- Always follow our Code of Conduct and Group policies, including anti-bribery & anti-corruption, gifts & hospitality and conflicts of interest (intranet log in required).
- Log any gifts and/or hospitality offered, given or received in the Gifts & Hospitality Register (intranet log in required).
