Things are hotting up in Cancun this summer!

In July, the Menzies team in Cancun welcomed the return of carrier Southwest and celebrated the first Vivaaerobus service between Cancun and the Mexican city of Monterrey.

Southwest have not flown from Cancun for more than two months, due to the coronavirus pandemic, but now the airline is operating six daily flights from the popular holiday destination. Extra measures are, of course, in place to make sure that passengers and employees are safe.

The new Vivaaerobus service arrived at Cancun from Monterrey on 28 July with 199 passengers on board a newly-acquired A321 aircraft. A special welcome was organised by the airport authorities, with a water arch and announcements made in the terminal and on board the plane.
