Learning at Menzies takes a massive leap with EMPOWER

We have been streamlining our learning at Menzies, and the roll out of our new learning management system (LMS) to employees (not including the Americas) is on target to complete in October 2020.

Giving you a better overall learning experience
The new LMS, known as EMPOWER Learning, is a modern learning platform which makes learning easier, improves reporting and reduces our reliance on spreadsheets - and paper! Available via the Menzies Intranet (UK and Australia only), SuccessFactors app and WeAreMenzies.com (log in required), EMPOWER is designed so that all of our learning is held in one place and provides our colleagues with more control over their learning experience. EMPOWER also provides live reporting so our training teams can review compliance and monitor trends in learning across the organisation.

Whether that is via Motive Learning if you’re in the Americas or via EMPOWER if you’re based elsewhere, we want to make it easier for you to find and complete the training and support your training needs.”

The central and regional training teams have been key to the success of the roll out says Jo; “We still have some way to go to complete the roll out but we are so excited by the potential of EMPOWER and the positive impact it will have on the business. Thank you to everyone who is supporting implementation of this new and exciting system.”

Results already…
We have already had fantastic results. Our customers are able to access the reports they need when they carry out audits of our training, we can quickly and easily provide them with the data they need about training modules and compliance and our central training teams can support this process – previously the station teams had to provide the information to the customer, so EMPOWER has helped reduce the pressure on the stations during customer audits.

The technology behind EMPOWER is extremely reliable, with better connectivity and faster download speeds. In Australia the team has found that the improved technology makes it easier to access and complete training.

EMPOWER is already available in Amsterdam, Australia, Indonesia, Iraq, Namibia, Norway, Romania, South Africa, Sweden and the UK & Ireland. We are looking forward to welcoming the rest of the network, including AMI, to EMPOWER over the coming months.

Colleagues in the Bermuda, Canada and the USA will continue to use Motive Learning which has similar functionality. System plans are being reviewed for our colleagues in Colombia, Mexico, St Maarten and the Dominican Republic.
