What do safety and security really mean to us? Is it just a case of acting and behaving in a particular way when we arrive at work and start our shift, or is it much more than that? We hope for all Menzies employees it's the latter. Rules, regulations and polices are important but as an organisation we want you to be safe because you value safety. In this toolkit we remind ourselves of the important things in our lives (inside and outside of work) that underpin this mindset.Location

How do I facilitate this activity?
Print off the Safety Security Reason Tree in A3 or equivalent. You can build a tree anywhere in your offices, ops rooms, depots, fuels facilities etc where your team members can put items on the branches of the tree. This could be family members, the vintage sports car in the garage, fishing, golf or pictures or your favourite sports team. You can make the tree as big or small as will allow depending on your location facilities.
The tree reminds us that we are all important and we have lives outside of work with things that we enjoy with sometimes big responsibilities. Being safe at work and going home unhurt will ensure that we continue enjoying those things and remain fit and healthy for our loved ones...
